Teleclass
Protocol
- We encourage you to schedule one-full hour of uninterrupted time
during the teleclass time. Honor yourself by being fully
present.
- A teleclass is “your time.” Allow your time to not be
interrupted by any outside influences (technology, chores and even
children).
- If your telephone has a mute button, please use it. Background
noise disturbs everyone and is rude. I will have to interrupt the call if noise
persists. This creates disconnections between flow and thought --
and the learning process. Please be mindful.
- If your phone line has a “call waiting” feature, please disable it
before calling into the teleclass. In the United States, you can disable the line by dialing
*70. When you hang up from the call it will automatically
reconnect.
- Speaker phones are not appropriate for a teleclass. You will
be asked to refrain
from using it.
- We encourage you to share during particular parts of the call. When
you do respond, please share your name and where you’re calling from.
For example, “This is Lisa from New Jersey.”
Surprisingly, there tends to be connections when others hear you are from
a similar area or region. We encourage connections.
- Time is of the essence, we do only have one hour. Please be mindful
of how long your comments are. Please be as succinct as possible. It
is my job to keep the teleclass moving.
- What makes these calls so “empowering” is everyone's stories and
experiences. If you do not agree with another participant, just be
mindful of your comments. When honoring others in where they are
at the current time, it too shall be returned.
- Audio taping is NOT permitted. We know the sound and may even
end the teleclass because of this.
- Be mindful of headsets, cordless and cell phones. Static is
created by these devices. We request everyone to use a land-based
line. the caller
to locate a landline or attend a teleclass at a later point. If the static continues,
we may have to ask all callers to hang-up
and call back in.
- Be aware of “cross talking” -- several people talking over each
other.
-
We feel that starting on time is important to honor all those who show up on time. We will
always begin on time. If you enter late, please don't interrupt
but wait for a break to announce yourself.
